India Global

Designed for scalability from domestic to US markets

01 — The Context

From Concept to Launch

1

The Background

The parent company was an established heritage exporter, known for ultra-premium craftsmanship but limited to a niche elite.

2

The Opportunity

They identified a massive gap in the domestic market for accessible quality.

3

The Solution

Kashmir Thread was born to fill this gap—targeting the Indian consumer first, then scaling to the US & Global markets.

The Mandate

"Build a fresh, approachable identity from scratch that stands apart from the parent company's traditional look while still signaling premium quality."

The Identity:
A Scalable System

The Philosophy

The visual identity is built on the metaphor of the "Golden Thread"—a continuous line connecting the artisan's loom to the modern wardrobe.

We opted for a responsive logo family that retains heritage elegance but adapts seamlessly to modern digital formats.

The Usage Logic

Flexibility: High
1

Primary Horizontal

For website headers, official documents, and packaging bands.

2

Vertical Stack

For clothing price tags, narrow labels, and vertical banners.

3

Social Token

A compact stamp for Instagram avatars, favicons, and social profiles.

The Final Thread

Kashmir Thread was more than a visual design; it was an exercise in cultural translation. The challenge was not just to sell products, but to digitalize the tactile experience of Pashmina wool without losing its heritage value.

By balancing heavy textures with a clean, editorial UI, we increased session duration and successfully positioned the brand as a bridge between the artisan's loom and the modern wardrobe.

Key Takeaways

  • Balancing heavy assets (video/texture) with page performance.
  • Designing for "Slow Fashion" requires a slower, more deliberate scroll experience.
  • Accessibility in high-contrast editorial layouts.
